Self-Guided Cycling in the Pyrenees

If you're looking for a short stay, we can offer self-guided options that are on a daily basis at certain times throughout the year.

Choose from one or more of our three ensuite bedrooms or if you have any questions, send us an email.

CHAMBRE D'OSSAU

Named after the Ossau Valley, this room with its exposed beams and stone walls, super king-sized bed (possible to make into a twin), ensuite bathroom and stunning views will appeal to cyclist enthusiasts thanks to the little things that make a cyclist smile. It can be co-joined to Aspe next door.

CHAMBRE D'ASPE

This light and airy room is named after the Aspe Valley and follows a 'skiing' theme. You'll be sleeping on a super comfortable King Sized bed (160cm x 200cm).

The room overlooks the gardens and has a panoramic view of the hills of the Jurancon. It's next door to Ossau on the first floor - so ideal for families taking both rooms.

CHAMBRE BARETOUS

Named after the Baretous Valley, this is our largest room. Situated on the ground floor, it sports a 'trail running' theme. With its stained glass window, dual aspect, exposed stone walls and Super King sized bed (complete with mattress topper), you'll not be disappointed. The bathroom is tiled in natural stone with an Italian walk-in shower. The beds can also be separated to make a twin room.

Testimonials

If you're not convinced that staying in a beautiful 18th-century farmhouse overlooking the Pyrenees doesn't sound like your cup of tea, listen to what some of our guests have to say:

What a magnificent place in the French Pyrenees! If you are looking for a little paradise: here you can find it. Tobias gave us excellent tips on where to ride, with the Cols de Soulor, Aubisque and Marie Blanque in the neighbourhood. The swimming pool is nicely situated in the garden and offers a splendid view over the valley and mountains. Breakfast was delicious and served in the beautiful garden. For sure we will come back and stay a little longer! Thank you Zayne and Tobias for our unforgettable visit to Secret Pyrenées!

Very nice room with luxurious bathroom and very comfortable beds. Delicious and very extensive breakfast. Very friendly hosts that can help with anything from the best place to buy cheese to the best hikes in the mountains or running trails around the house. But it's also the perfect accommodation if you want to do absolutely nothing and spend your day at the large pool with very comfortable chairs.

We spent 7 nights in this wonderful house and it was not one day too long. The place is a paradise of peace and comfort in the middle of nature. Our room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean, with a beautiful view of the green hills. The house is surrounded by a big garden with a beautiful pool with several terraces to sit and relax in all tranquillity and privacy. There is even a small river with a romantic ‘Bois des fées’.  Breakfast was delicious and fresh every day with homemade yoghurt and gaufres. Tobias and Zayne are wonderful hosts and gave us a lot of ideas for beautiful walks and cycle routes in the area.  We really didn’t want to leave and will surely come back! A warm thank you to Tobias & Zeyne.

A totally perfect stay. The house has a wonderful rustic charm and Zayne and Tobias have included all the right luxury touches (huge beds, great linen and great showers) to make it a really relaxing and indulgent place to be. They both have masses of local knowledge and are really helpful in advising on everything from the best cycle/ walking/ running routes through to the best dinner spots and where to grab a coffee. They are both incredibly friendly and go the extra mile to make sure you are well set up for your stay. Their home prepared breakfasts are perfect. As is the wonderful terrace you eat them on.
